Incase you missed it last week saw the latest, highly anticipated Nintendo Direct stream. The gaming giant brought with it some big announcements such as Splatoon 3 and Zelda Skyward Sword HD.
Here’s a run down of the biggest announcements in case you missed it:
New characters are set to join Super Smash Bros with Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles. Also mentioned was the 2021 release of Zelda:Breath of The Wild 2 although nothing was mentioned about an exact release date only the 2021 slot. One big announcement was Legend of Zelda:Skyward Sword HD slated for 16th July release with an optional motion control function, another exciting bit of news was the mention of an exclusive Skyward Sword joycon set.
Next up there was the announcement of Mario Golf:Super Rush get your golf clubs at the ready as this is scheduled for release 25th June 2021, with MII story mode and and interesting WII like motion controls. Following from that we had Animal Crossing: New Horizons Mario items announced which will see the addition of Marioworld style warp pipes which will let you travel about.
Another big announcement was that the bean battle royale success story Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer.
Exciting news for me being a fan of the Xbox version Plants vs Zombies : Battle for Neighbourville will be coming to Nintendo Switch this March also it will be the only Switch game to utilise EA’s Frostbite engine.
Other big names announced were Tales from Borderlands and Apex Legends along with new gree to play arena based fighter Star Wars Hunters.
