The release of the highly anticipated Snyder Cut is nearing. Soon we will be able to see the full cut exactly how it was originally planned. To celebrate the upcoming release, DC Comics have teased some official merchandise which will be available to purchase.
To kick things off, DC Comics- via their Instagram– shared a fantastic look at a new t-shirt starring Darkseid himself. Check it out below:
We’ve seen what a young version of Darkseid, or Uxas, looks like thanks to the trailer and from images released by Zack. But this is our first official look at a present day Darkseid- fully equipped with armor. Just as a comparison, here is Uxas during the flashback sequence.
This does raise some questions though. Originally, it was believed that Darkseid would appear at the end of Justice League as a tease for what’s to come in the future. The big bad of the entire DC universe would appear and we’d see the League battle him in the subsequent sequels.
Perhaps it is looking into it too much, but does this t-shirt tease something that we don’t know? They could have started with t-shirts featuring the newly designed Steppenwolf or the League itself. No. They went straight to Darkseid. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
