Paramount Pictures has confirmed it is shifting the release date of animated picture Rumble further in to 2021. The film, originally set for release in summer 2020, will now release on 14 May, 2021.
The film becomes the another ongoing victim of the Coronavirus pandemic as Paramount seeks to solidify its 2021 slate. Rumble now looks set to arrive almost 12 months later than originally planned.
The story, written by Grieve and Matt Lieberman based on the graphic novel by Rob Harrel, is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes. It follows Winnie (Hala‘s Geraldine Viswanathan), who seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster (Will Arnett) into a wrestling champion.
