Yes, you read that correctly. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jared Leto is set to return as the Joker in Snyder’s highly anticipated cut of the Justice League. According to the report, he has joined the team responsible for the reshoots that will help complete Snyder’s original vision- dubbed the Snyder Cut.
The film is currently being handled by HBO Max who will distribute it sometime in 2021. Reshoots are currently underway with Affleck, Fisher and Amber Heard.
In regards to Leto’s involvement, it is hart to pinpoint his involvement. It is very likely that it will be related to Batman in some capacity. However, my thoughts seem to gravitate towards an alternative post credit scene. Regardless of what the Joker will be doing during Justice League, this is an incredibly exciting announcement.
What do you think Leto will be doing? Will it be a small cameo, a potential tease, or just a nice Easter Egg? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check out more news relating to the Snyder Cut right here.
The Snyder Cut will be available to watch on HBO MAX in 2021.
Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Joining them are Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash.
If you haven’t done so already, we highly recommend checking out the trailer from DC’s FanDome.
