Matt Reeves’ The Batman is back in production. Warner Bros were given the green light to resume filming in Liverpool and the cast and crew certainly wasted no time. In fact, they actually began filming a pretty large scene. But it was only a matter of time before we got some more pictures straight from the set.
The recent images seem to depict a massive Halloween party. People in all types of spooky outfits were spotted on the set. However, two primary colours caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans.
Sooooo @SamMcTweets just sent me this pic. Sooooo this means two things one this is 100% a Halloween party— Yassine (يس) (@yassinfinite) October 16, 2020

As well as Superman being invited to the party, fans also found a Wonder Woman. There are two very interesting possibilities brewing here. The first seems to gravitate towards mere Easter Eggs for fans to spot within the chaos of a costume party. The second possibility could potentially be more exciting. These fancy dress costumes could confirm that Superman and Wonder Woman exist within Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe. Considering the nature of The Batman, we think it is highly unlikely for additional heroes to crossover. However, it would be very interesting to see whether they acknowledge other superheroes. If that is the case, it would also confirm the existence of super powers. This revelation could effect Batman’s seemingly grounded world.
What do you think? Could The Batman confirm that other heroes exist? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Written and directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is set to star Robert Pattinson in the title role, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton.
The film is set to hit cinemas on October 1, 2021.
