The seconds season of Fruits Basket finished only a few days. How is everyone doing? Are we all okay? Excellent. While the show left us to deal with our emotions, a third and final season was announced shortly after. Obviously, the new season won’t return to us until next year but the curtains will close for our beloved Fruits Basket. It has been quite a journey but all good things must come to an end.
Fruits Basket follows sweet Tohru Honda who finds herself entangled with a bizarre family with a very bizarre secret. Particular members of the Sohma family are cursed. However, this isn’t your average curse. When they are hugged by someone of the opposite sex, they transform into an animal from the Zodiac family. The family is lead by the mysterious Akito who controls the family as the “God” of the Zodiac.
Funimation made the announcement on Twitter with a neat recap graphic showcasing memorable moments from Season 2.
