On Friday we broke the news that the DC Universe streaming platform will transition to a comics only service in 2021. From January 2021 the service will become DC Universe Infinite.
Buried within the press release outlining the new service was some news which fans have been expecting for some time. All of the scripted content created for DC Universe will be moving to become HBO Max exclusives.
That includes Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice and, of course, the recently renewed Harley Quinn.
DC Comics and Warner Bros. have confirmed that existing seasons of those shows, plus the first season of Stargirl. Will all jump to HBO Max from early in 2021 with new seasons of the former all debuting in the next twelve months.
As for the legacy content from DC Universe? Well all those classic shows including Lois & Clark, Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series, Teen Titans, Birds of Prey and more will also be making the move to HBO Max.
The DC channel on HBO is about to get very busy!
