When last we heard about Captain Marvel 2 it was being reported that WandaVision writer Megan McDonnell was beginning work on the script. Now Deadline is reporting that the MCU sequel has found its director.
According to the trade, Marvel Studios has tapped the director of the upcoming Candyman remake, Nia DaCosta, to helm Carol Danvers return to the big screen.
Plot details for the sequel are being kept well under wraps. But new rumours suggest that the film will introduce Ms. Marvel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe before she makes the jump to Disney+ for her own live-action series.
Candyman is currently due to hit cinemas in September 2020.
