For anyone concerned that a global pandemic would stop James Gunn from completing work on The Suicide Squad: we have some news for you.
The director, widely known for interacting with his fans on social media, has confirmed that work is on track for the film’s August 5, 2021 release date.
Responding to a fan, Gunn not only confirmed the date but also gave fans a reminder to check in to DC FanDome on August 22 for some kind of first look at the film.
“Nothing about #TheSuicideSquad has changed either.” Wrote Gunn. “We will be ready for our release on August 6, 20201. Until then, you can come see us at #DCFanDome at the end of this month to see lots of cool stuff!”

The Suicide Squad (aka Suicide Squad 2) is aiming for an August 6, 2021 release date.
