We know that prior to the Coronavirus pandemic Warner Bros. The Flash was gearing up for its final stages of pre-production. The film had planned to start shooting later in 2020 in readiness for its July 2022 release date.
But like every other Hollywood production, The Flash found itself ground to a halt as crews were unable to come together in close quarters.
Now with life beginning to return to normal, director Andy Muschietti can return to prep for the Scarlet Speedsters first solo big-screen outing. Part of that seems to be also bringing in a number of Ezra Miller’s Justice League companions.
Recently, a fan asked producer Barbara Muschietti whether the plan was for Ray Fisher’s Cyborg to appear in the movie. Long ago, when the move was still dubbed Flashpoint, we understood that Fisher would be a large role in the film. But with several directors and screenwriters taking on the script in the interim, nobody was quite sure where things currently stood.
Responding to the fan query, Muschietti simply said “Obvio!!” In doing so it seems The Flash is circling back to a franchise wrangling Flashpoint event!
The Flash is currently dated to hit cinemas on July 1, 2022.
