Though The Flash – and the rest of The CW’s DCTV lineup – won’t be returning until 2020, that hasn’t stopped the producers planning for what comes next.
With Iris (Candice Patton) still trapped in the mirror universe and Mirror Mistress on the loose, showrunner Eric Wallace has been discussing where the series goes next.
Speaking with TV Line, Wallace teased fans with the news that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will finally be going up against the villainous Godspeed. When asked if the clash of the Speedsters would finally happen, Wallace coyly told the outlet: “Yes, you just might…,’” after letting slip a bit of an evil laugh he continued “Because that’s where we’re going!”
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cicso Ramon, Tom Cavanagh Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Joe West. The series airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
