Wonder Woman 1984 is currently gracing the cover of Empire Magazine’s latest issue, planned to build hype for the film’s original June release date. But with the movie now arriving in August we have a little longer to wait to see Diana’s new, 1980’s adventure.
Warner Bros. has now gone ahead and released two of the stills first seen in the magazine. The first features Gal Gadot and the returning Chris Pine caught in a romantic moment which looks to be shortly after Pine’s Steve Trevor somehow comes back from the dead.
The second image shows Wonder Woman striking a poster in her Golden Eagle armour, presumably ready to do battle with Kristen Wiig’s yet-to-be-revealed Cheetah!
Gal Gadot returns in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 1984. The film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. And Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins.
Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.
Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit cinemas on August 14, 2020.
