Black Widow (Marvel Studios)

We guessed that this news was coming, but late yesterday Disney and producing partners Marvel Studios revealed that Black Widow will no longer release on May 1, 2020.

As cinema chains across the globe shut down in the wake of Coronavirus there’s no landscape in which the film can currently reach its audience via the big screen.

No new release date has been announced for the film as yet. For now the studio will simply watch and wait for a change in circumstances which will allow fans back in to the cinema.

Black Widow will see the return of Scarlett Johansson as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina.
