In Legends, Darth Revan was once a Jedi Knight who turned to the Dark Side and became a powerful Sith Lord. Together with his apprentice, Darth Malek, they wreaked havoc across the Galaxy, lightsaber in hand and the Dark Side of the Force at their disposal. Revan was first introduced as a playable character in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in 2003.

While the infamous Sith Lord hasn’t had a prominent role in the established canon, his presence is gradually seeping through. Darth Revan was initially slated to appear in The Clone Wars. In ‘Ghosts of Mortis’ Dark Revan was set to appear alongside Darth Bane as guiders to the Son. However, they were cut from the episode. In the deleted scene, Revan is modeled after his Legends appearance that we all know and love.

In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the legions of Sith Troopers are named after ancient Sith Lords. The Visual Dictionary that accompanied the film shows that one of the legions was called ‘The 3rd: Revan Legion”, thus confirming Darth Revan’s existence in the Star Wars Canon.

Interestingly, Darth Reven has received his very own Black Series figure and now fans will have the opportunity to own his lightsaber.

Hasbro have produced Darth Revan’s lightsaber in all of its glory. The blade changes colour and comes with a lovely dynamic stand and a removable blade.

For those fans who are unsure about whether to purchase this Star Wars saber… I have 2 words.

    Do it.

    Emperor Palpatine would be proud.

Could this mean more merchandise from other fan favorites? and could this mean a larger role for other Legend Sith Lords in the future? Only time will tell.

The Force FX Elite Darth Revan Lightsaber will be available this fall. What lightsaber would you like to see Hasbro produce? I am incredibly excited for Count Dooku’s saber, but I would love to see Palpatine’s.
