Some interesting news coming from the US overnight, it appears that Warner Bros. is changing the title of Birds of Prey.
As we know the full title of the film is (or was) Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) but now a number of cinema chains in the US appear to have changed that title.
Following the not-disastrous-but-disappointing $33m opening weekend it seems that a creative decision has been taken to put the film’s lead at the head of its title.
AMC, Cinemark, and Regal theatre chains have all changed the title of the Cathy Yan directed picture to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. Is this a last ditch attempt to boost the box office by making sure there’s a greater understanding of which character is at the forefront of the film?
At the time of writing no UK cinema chain has altered the title.

The movie will be directed by Cathy Yan and arrives in cinemas on February 7, 2020.
