After an extended winter break, the cast and crew are back to work on The Suicide Squad as these new set photos and videos show. The film took a long break to allow for Margot Robbie to head off and promote Birds of Prey but it seems it’s back to work now for James Gunn and co.
These latest set leaks focus on Idris Elba’s unknown character as he works on a wall climbing stunt and a night shoot scene where he appears to be apprehended.
First up, Elba was spotted scaling the wall of this building in Panama. We don’t have all the context on this scene so unsure if his casual outfit was for rehearsals or the scene itself.
But later in the evening (seen in the video below) Elba was spotted in a more elaborate costume as he was arrested by soldiers in black gear. Could this be Amanda Waller’s men trying to take him down?

Returning from Suicide Squad are Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang).
Officially joining them are David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Joaquin Cosio, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi,, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchoir, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Idris Elba and Michael Rooker.
The Suicide Squad (aka Suicide Squad 2) is aiming for an August 6, 2020 release date.
