There’s no escaping the fact that there are only three episode left to air in the final season of Arrow. With one of those being the fourth hour of Crisis On Infinite Earths that leaves only two episodes left to say goodbye to Oliver Queen… well one actually.
The ninth and penultimate episode of Arrow will act as the backdoor pilot to planned spin-off series Green Arrow and the Canaries. The series will be headlined by Katherine McNamara (Mia Smoak), Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake).
The CW has now released the synopsis for the episode and it teases a rather significant change for Mia who is now going by the name Queen and not Smoak!
It’s the year 2040 in Star City and Mia Queen (McNamara) has everything she could have ever wanted. However, when Laurel (Cassidy) and Dinah (Harkavy) suddenly show up in her life again, things take a shocking turn and her perfect world is upended.””Laurel and Dinah are tracking a kidnapping victim with direct ties to Mia and they need her help. Knowing it will change everything, Mia can’t help but be a hero and she, Laurel and Dinah suit up once again to save the city.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, David Ramsey as John Diggle Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance/Black Siren, Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake/Black Canary and Rick Gonzalez as Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog.
Arrow airs on The CW Mondays at 8/7c with just two standalone episodes left to air following the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover.
