Over the weekend Matt Reeves dropped another piece of casting news for 2021’s The Batman.
The acclaimed writer/director confirmed that 2x Golden Globe-nominee John Turturro (The Big Lebowski) has joined the cast in the role of Gotham mob boss Carmine Falcone. Reeves announced the news in his usual fashion, posting a GIF of the actor to twitter alongside a hashtag confirming his character.
Carmine Falcone is the head of the Falcone crime family, one of the largest of the original Gotham mob families. He was portrayed on the TV series Gotham by John Doman and had a major role in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins where he was played by Tom Wilkinson.
