Though Swamp Thing only survived for one season on the DC Universe platform, the series made quite an impact with fans. The series has now found a second life here in the UK on Amazon Prime and has now been announced for a North American Blu-ray release in 2020.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that Swamp Thing: The Complete Series will hit DVD and Blu-ray from February 11, 2020. A full digital release for the series will arrive on December 2, 2019.

“As one of the most original series from the DC Universe to date, we are thrilled to bring Swamp Thing: The Complete Series to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, Television Marketing. “Viewers will watch in suspense through riveting plot twists and turns throughout the entire series.”

Bonus features have not been confirmed as yet. Expect more news closer to the release date.

When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Marais, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

Swamp Thing stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade and Kevin Durand.
