Deadline has some news to kickstart your day with a bang… Superman is returning to the small screen with a new show set in the Arrowverse!
We’ve previously heard rumours that The CW was development a series around Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman although those rumours were debunked it now seems someone has had a change of heart.
As per the Deadline report the series, titled Superman & Lois, will tell an all-new story about “the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”
The trade understands that former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing stepped down from his role on that show to focus his energies on developing on Superman & Lois. Helbing will pen the pilot and will serve as an executive producer with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.
