Back at San Diego Comic Con it was finally announced that Doctor Strange would be getting a sequel. Not only that but the sequel, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, would be co-starring Scarlet Witch!
Now the film has tapped screenwriter Jade Bartlett (Mad) to pen the script. Collider is reporting that Marvel Studios has sealed a deal with the writer to take on the sequel following initial reports that the first film’s co-writer C. Robert Cargill would be returning.
Could the film be heading in a new direction?
Scott Derrickson is confirmed to return to the director’s chair, with Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as Stephen Strange alongside Benedict Wong as Wong. They’ll be joined by Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.
