Things have been quiet on the Black Widow front for the last few weeks. We understand that the film has completed principal photography and that director Cate Shortland is now hard at work on the film’s edit.
But Scarlett Johansson recently appeared at the Elle Women in Hollywood dinner and made some interesting comments on the film.
The New YorkTimes‘ Kyle Buchanan was present for the dinner and tweeted the exchange in which Johansson referred to Black Widow as a “‘standalone franchise’“. Could the film be the first adventure in a series of solo-outing for the character?
ScarJo notes that the upcoming BLACK WIDOW is the first Marvel movie produced by one of its actors. She also referred to it as a “standalone franchise” which is interesting if you expected it to be a one-off based on… you know pic.twitter.com/5UkCAXXnYu
