Is it a bird? is it a plane? it’s Superman… and another one!

The CW crossover is spoiling us fans. We’ve had a barrage of announcements regarding the cast and the surprises that audiences can expect in The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

However, the announcement that has caused the most excitement is, without a doubt, Brandon Routh’s Superman return… no pun intended.

Brandon Routh shared an image online which showed him in his new Kingdom Come outfit with Tyler Hoechlin next to him. Guess where they are? That’s right, the Daily Planet.

What a year to be a Superman fan. The return of Brandon Routh and the return of Smallville‘s Tom Welling. This crossover is shaping up to be something truly special.

Crisis on Infinite Earths kicks off with Supergirl on December 8th, Batwoman on December 9th and The Flash on December 10th. The crossover will pick up again in the new year with Arrow on January 14th and Legends of Tomorrow on the same night.
