It was recently revealed by HBO that their new Watchmen series will debut on our screens on October 20, 2019. That was shortly followed by the announcement that the pilot will hold its world premiere at New York Comic Con in just a few weeks time.
Now HBO has released a featurette packed with new footage from the show. With commentary by showrunner Damon Lindelof and star Regina King, it’s clear from watching this video just how the series will differ from the source material.

Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon. The series has been developed for TV by Damon Lindleof.
