OBI-WAN KENOBI series confirmed to film in 2020

Disney+ has confirmed that Ewan McGregor is returning to the Star Wars Universe. Overnight the new streaming giant revealed that an Obi-Wan Kenobi series will enter production in 2020.
McGregor was on hand at the D23 convention to confirm the news in person to a crowd of adoring fans.
Those in attendance claim that a timeline of events from the Star Wars Universe was shown and that Obi-Wan will take place sometime after Solo: A Star Wars Story. Could this mean that Obi-Wan will be taking on his old rival Darth Maul?
McGregor first appeared in the role in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and continued to play the role through the three prequel moves in the 00’s. Are you excited to see him return to the role?
