It’s been announced that Birds of Prey is going back in to production for some addition photography. Director Cathy Yan is currently deep in the edition process and following test screenings it has been decided to go back in and add some further action to the movie.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the news, adding that John Wick director Chad Stahelski is overseeing additional second unit photography. The veteran action director is taking an uncredited role in helping to beef up the action scenes in the movie.
Shooting is already underway as the movie heads towards its February 2020 release date.
Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. The movie will be directed by Cathy Yan and arrives in cinemas on February 7, 2020.
