Along with all of the other announcements made last night, Hall H also announced that the live-action Loki series will be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2021.
Loki will focus on what happened to Loki after Avengers: Endgame. So, just to recap. This series will follow Loki from 2012 who escaped with the Tesseract after that timeline was disrupted… thanks to the Hulk.
Both Feige and Hiddleston explained that this series will include a different version of Loki. After Avengers we see Loki change drastically in Thor: The Dark World and again in Thor: Ragnarok. This time, we’re dealing with a Loki who wasn’t killed by Thanos, and a Loki who, perhaps, is still quite evil.
As Hiddleston points out:
“You guys saw Avengers, right? He’s still that guy. The last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk smashed,”
Earlier this year, we were given a first look at the show which seemingly confirmed that it will be set within the 70s. However, it has been reported that Loki will be visiting various historical events and meddling with them.
