Details were released today on the cast for the upcoming Saw reboot/sequel, and in news that I still can’t quite believe, Nick Fury himself, Mr Samuel L. Jackson, has joined the cast playing the father of Chris Rock’s police detective.
Also joining the cast are Max Mighella (Horns), who will play Rock’s partner, and Marisol Nichols (TV’s Riverdale).

The still-untitled sequel has just entered production and focuses on a police detective (Chris Rock) investigating a series of grisly crimes that may or may not be connected to the Jigsaw killer.
No word yet if Tobin Bell will reprise his role as Jigsaw, but considering his end in previous movies, it would seem unlikely outside of flashbacks.
The new Saw is set to release on Halloween 2020, and is directed by franchise main-stay Darren Lynn Bousman.
