We’re over half way through the first (and only) season of Swamp Thing on DC Universe. The show has been going from strength-to-strength and if you are following our reviews we’re struggling to give it anything but a 10/10 score.

The synopsis for “The Price You Pay” read:
Increasingly alienated from humanity after being hunted by sheriff’s deputies and animal trackers, Swamp Thing struggles to understand his strange condition. Reassuring him that they will find a cure for his condition, Abby and Swamp Thing are discovered by Matt who learns the truth about Alec Holland. Meanwhile, Avery pressures Woodrue to deliver results, which escalates his experiments with Swamp Thing’s genetic materials and leads him to a test on Daniel Cassidy; while Lucilia Cable gets some perspective on her son’s recent actions.
When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Marais, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
