Kevin Feige has dubbed 2019 “The Year of Fury” with Samuel L. Jackson appearing in all three of Marvel’s releases. But many fans have been wondering if the character will appear in the Black Widow movie currently in production.
In a recent interview to promote Spider-Man: Far From Home (via Comics Explained) Jackson discussed whether fans will see Fury and Natasha Romanov (Scarlett Johansson) on screen together one last time.
“It’s Natasha who was always been my favourite because I recruited her,” he said while promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home. “So far, I’m not in her origin story movie [Laughs]. She’s the person I was closest to in that group.”
Oh dear… let’s hope Marvel Studios rectifies this asap otherwise it’s unlikely we’ll see Romanov being recruited as part of the movie. Or of course Jackson is bluffing us all!
Black Widow will see the return of Scarlett Johansson in her first solo outing. The film currently doesn’t have a release date but is expected to occupy the May 1, 2020 release date being held by Marvel Studios.
