First teaser trailer released for HBO’s WATCHMEN series

After plenty of cryptic teasers, HBO has finally lifted the lid on its upcoming Watchmen TV series. Overnight the network has released the first full teaser trailer which features plenty of new footage and teases for the show which is due to hit screens later in the year.

It appears this new adaption is set years after the original graphic novel with a much older Ozymandias prominently featured. It also seems that members of the public have taken on the Rorschach persona in order to carry out vigilante justice.

It all looks very exciting and could be HBO’s next bit hit following the end of Game of Thrones. Check out the teaser in the player below.

Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon. The series has been developed for TV by Damon Lindleof.
