THE BATMAN shoot may not begin until 2020

It’s been a little while since we had any updates on Matt Reeves The Batman. When last we heard about the movie it was aiming for a late 2019 production start, November being the month banded around by the press.

Now journalist Justin Kroll has shared a brief update on Twitter. According to the film writer for Variety Reeves is still polishing the script for the movie. Ensuring the best possible start it may mean that production shifts back to an early 2020 start.

There’s no reason to fear however, it’s unlikely that moving back the shoot by two or three months will impact on the June 2021 release. It may mean we have to wait a little longer for casting news though…

The Batman is due for release on June 25, 2021.
