Daniela Melchior eyed for Ratcatcher role in THE SUICIDE SQUAD

Yesterday we brought you the news that David Dastmalchian had joined the cast of The Suicide Squad as Polka-Dot Man. Today it seems the cast of the movie has grown a little bigger.

Variety is reporting that relative newcomer Daniela Melchior is in talks to join the James Gunn helmed movie in the role of Ratcatcher.

In the pages of DC Comics Ratcatcher was originally portrayed as male. The character was been a low level rogue in the Batman universe, but sources state the studio is now casting the role as female.

The role would mark Melchior’s first major studio role.

The Suicide Squad (aka Suicide Squad 2)is aiming for an August 6, 2020 release date.
