AQUAMAN 2 lands a release date

Warner Bros. has given Aquaman fans something to look forward to. Late last night Warner Bros. announced that the upcoming sequel has found itself a release date.

Following the huge success of 2018’s Aquaman there was no doubt that a sequel would be top priority for the studio. With over $1bn in the bank it was all-but guaranteed we would be seeing Jason Momoa return to Atlantis.

Now we know that Aquaman 2 will be hitting cinemas on December 16, 2022. Whilst that seems like a way off fans will remember there was a four year wait between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

No news yet on whether James Wan has officially signed on to direct the sequel. The director has previously stated with a good script in place that he would be happy to return to the DC Films universe.
