Following the news that Danny Boyle has exited Bond 25 over “creative differences” we are now hearing the film may miss it’s October 2019 release date altogether.
Rumours point of Boyle struggling to work with producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. When he boarded the project Boyle brought longtime collaborator John Hodge with him to work on the script. That reportedly pushed out a script by Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who have a long history with the franchise.
Bond 25 was due to begin production in a matter of weeks in order to hit it’s October 2019 release date in the UK. That release date is now expected to be delayed until “late 2020” in order for Wilson and Broccoli to find a new director.
Industry rumours point to the pair looking for a writer-director who can also take on polishing (or re-writing) the script.
