The CW unveils first official look at new FLASH costume!

The Flash

After a leaked photo caused controversy last week we finally have an official look at Grant Gustin’s new costume on The Flash.

Following someone from the production sharing a costume test photo of Gustin in the new suit a small but vocal cross section of fans on social media called out the actor for appearing to look too skinny. Sadly it reached the stage where Gustin himself posted a statement calling out the body shamers.

In the mean time The CW were preparing this awesome first look at the costume in action!

The Flash - season 5 (The CW)

Those who are up-to-date with The Flash will know that Barry’s current suit was ruined in the final battle with DeVoe’s satellite at the end of season 4.

Set photos from the first couple of episodes of season 5 show Gustin wearing his classic suit from earlier seasons. But the trailer shown at San Diego Comic Con confirmed Barry Allen will finally get his iconic Flash ring in the new season.

That ring calls for a new, sleeker costume which Gustin also showed off in a behind-the-scenes photo on his Instagram:

What do you think of the new suit? Are you a fan?

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, and Jesse L. Martin.

The show returns Tuesday, October 9 on The CW.
