Things are looking good for Ant-Man and The Wasp when it finally drops in North American cinemas on Thursday.
According to Variety the film is tracking for an opening weekend in the region of $70-$80m.
Though that figure seems fairly low for an MCU film, the original Ant-Man opened to a modest $57.2m back in 2015. That film went on to gross a much more impressive $519.3m worldwide.
The film has also been certified fresh on aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. The film currently holds an 85% fresh rating based on an average score of 6.9/10. Out of 91 featured reviews there are currently 77 positive and only 14 mixed-to-negative.
The first Ant-Man scored 82% fresh with an average score of 6.8/10. A remarkably similar score!
