LUCIFER officially cancelled by FOX

Sad news for fans of Lucifer. The series third season finale, airing tonight in the us, will act as the series finale.

After three successful seasons the network has pulled the plug on the Warner Bros. drama. Though ratings had slipped over the course of season 3 the show remained a strong hit with fans.

The network spent Friday clearing out a number of dramas and comedies not produced by its in house studio.

The cast and crew of the show took to social media to share their upset at the cancellation.

It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted
