Last night Warner Bros. and DC Comics officially announced their new streaming service. The service first announced back in 2017 all be known as DC Universe.
Launching the all new DCUniverse.com fans are met with a brief message explaining what is to come:
DC Universe is a first-of-its kind, immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans. One of the many incredible things your membership will include is unlimited access to the following exclusive original series.
We also get our first look at logos for several of the serious previously announced to premiere on the DC Universe service including Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn. You can check out those logos in the gallery below but you may notice one more…
In announcing the new service DC Comics also unveiled a brand new show they have been working on: Swamp Thing! Executive produced by James Wan (Aquaman) the one hour series will focus on one of DC Comics more mystical characters.
A brief longline for the series has also been released:
“When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.”
