Following the release of a promo poster over the weekend we’ve got our first look at the new animated version of Constantine. The short clip and bloody clip was first shown during the Warner Bros. Television panel at this years New York Comic Con.
The clip, featuring the vocals of Constantine TV series star Matt Ryan shows how the new CW Seed version will differ from the CBS live action series. Hit play below to check out the clip.
Constantine the animated series is produced by David S. Goyer, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. The series is written by J.M. DeMatteis and directed by Doug Murphy. The series will premier sometime in 2018.
ComicBook.com are today also reporting that Matt Ryan will be reprising his role in live action for an episode of Legends of Tomorrow! As yet we don’t know how or when the character will come in to contact with the Legends but it’s sure to be a highlight of the third season. Fans will remember that Matt Ryan made an explosive return to the role in a fifth season episode of Arrow.
The continued investment in his portrayal of the character continues to build hopes of a continuation for the cancelled series.
