Last night Warner Bros. made its annual presentation at the CinemaCon event. Fans had hoped this would include snippets from the DC Extended Universe and they were in for a treat. Members of the cast of ‘Justice League’ were in attendance along with director Zack Snyder. Patty Jenkins also appeared alongside ‘Wonder Woman’ star Chris Pine whilst director James Wan introduced an ‘Aquaman’ sizzle reel.

Jason Momoa kicked off the DC section of the panel telling the crowd he had seen ‘Justice League’. Momoa described it as the ‘greatest movie in the world’ before announcing that he was today flying out to Australia to begin production on ‘Aquaman’.

Speaking of the Atlantean hero: Momoa and director James Wan introduced a short sizzle reel to tease the film. Speaking of the film Wan said ‘you get to see a while different world you’ve never seen before, Jason Momoa is larger than life and he [Momoa] is the perfect embodiment.’

The sizzle reel was said to include images of armoured sharks in underwater dog fights, shots of the Atlantis landscape and a tease of Black Manta’s costume.

Next up was ‘Wonder Woman’. Director Patty Jenkins and Chris Pine appeared and presented an extended look at several moments from the last trailer. The footage featured the first name drop of rumoured villain Ares as Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor head for London by boat. As Trevor explains the notion of marriage to Diana she tells him she needs to find Ares as she believes he is manipulating the Germans in to fighting WW1.

The panel was rounded out by an extended look at ‘Justice League’. In attendance were Ben Affleck (Batman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Henry Cavill (Superman). Gal Gadot recently gave birth to her second child and could not attend. Director Zack Snyder was also in attendance.

The Hollywood Reporter broke down the new footage:

Alfred (Jeremy Irons) tells Bruce Wayne that his employer has been working like there is no tomorrow trying to assemble the team. Soon, we’re in a Wayne warehouse, where he’s working on a giant vehicle.

Bruce remarks that he spent $1 million on the security for that building, to which Wonder Woman (Gadot) answers he got his money’s worth, because it took (her) almost a minute to disable it. He explains the vehicle he’s working on his a troop carrier (it seemed reminiscent of something from the Batman v Superman nightmare dream sequence.)

Later in the footage, Batman and Barry Allen/The Flash are standing on a roof (out of costume) and they see the Batsignal in the sky.

‘Oh awesome. It’s the Batsignal! That’s your signal,’ Barry tells Bruce, before apologizing for speaking too loudly about it. ‘That means we have to go now. That’s so cool.’
