Daniel Wu joins ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot

2018s ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot cast is starting to take shape. Yesterday the news broke that ‘Into the Badlands’ star Daniel Wu has joined Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander in the film.
A joint production between Warner, MGM and GK Films ‘Tomb Raider’ is due to go in to production in the next few weeks.
At this stage little is known about the story of the film aside from assorted comments in the media which point to the two most recent ‘Tomb Raider’ games as providing a source of inspiration. Vikander and Wu are joined by Walton Goggins who has been cast as the films main villain.
‘Tomb Raider’ will be directed by Roar Uthaug from a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and is due to hit cinemas on March 16th 2018.
