It’s been an interesting couple of days in the world of ‘Logan’. First came the release of this new poster featuring a very metaphorical sun setting on Hugh Jackman.
Then came news from The Wrap that ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds had filmed a cameo for the film. Insiders on the film had reportedly leaked that the film was to feature a stinger directed by ‘Deadpool 2’ director David Leitch tying to the two films together.
However upon hearing the news Ryan Reynolds, ‘Logan’ star Hugh Jackman and its director James Mangold all felt they needed to set the world straight via a series of tweets:
Sadly, not true. Prisoner 24601 is on a solo mission. https://t.co/5czBmMRfY1

It was Mangold in particular who felt he needed to impress upon social media that the reports were wrong. At this point he has tweeted or responses to over twenty tweets emphasising that Deadpool would not be appearing in ‘Logan’. Here are some of our favourites:

Ask @TheWrap first, James. They can give you a fictitious answer and then I will correct it.

DEADPOOL IS NOT IN MY FILM. Does all caps help confirm it?

Would you like to see the two characters on film together again? Under the watchful eyes of Leitch and Mangold could they rewrite the errors of ‘X-Men Origin : Wolverine’?
