A little controversial but none the less outstanding fan film that has been doing the rounds for the last fortnight is ‘Power/Rangers’ by notable music video director Joseph Kahn and colleague Adi Shankar.
The film takes an extremely violent and adult look at a property once though to be purely the stuff of kids TV. The film injects blood, swearing, nudity and everything else that would completely enrage parent groups previously upset by the hit 90s shows glorification of martial arts and wearing cardboard boxes to pretend to be giant fighting robots.
Will a reboot film of the franchise on the way everybody here at the GYCO offices hope the writers of said reboot are taking notice of how the film can work when taken more seriously. We’re not asking for an adult rated movie, just one that doesn’t stick to the pure cheese of the original.
Watch and enjoy before the legal team at Power Rangers HQ have this permanently removed from existence!
