    Calling all the Barbies and Kens out there. Warner Bros. has announced plans for the UK digital release of 2023’s highest grossing film. The studio has announced that Greta Gerwig’s Barbie will hit digital platforms in the UK on September 12, 2023 and we can’t wait to bring the action home!

    In his four-star review of the film, Jed said “Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is laugh out loud funny but it’s also complex and underwritten by emotion and real-world issues of gender equality and agency creating a gem from start to finish leaving all Barbies and Kens with a smile on their face.”

    Take a trip to Barbie Land when “Barbie, the box office smash hit and global phenomenon, arrives for purchase and rental Digitally at home on September 12. From Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Lady Bird”), “Barbie,” stars Oscar-nominees Margot Robbie (“Bombshell,” “I, Tonya”) and Ryan Gosling (“La La Land,” “Half Nelson”) as Barbie and Ken. Gerwig directed “Barbie” from a screenplay by Gerwig & Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach (“Marriage Story,” “The Squid and the Whale”), based on Barbie by Mattel. 

    “Barbie” has taken the box office by storm, earning more than $1.345 billion worldwide to become the highest grossing film in Warner Bros.’ 100-year history; the highest-grossing film ever from a female filmmaker at the domestic box office; and is the largest film release of 2023 to date in the UK and Ireland, as well as worldwide.

    On September 12, “Barbie” will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home and 48-hour rental via PVOD on participating digital platforms where you purchase movies.
