UPDATE: following publication of the piece below it has been confirmed that Shudder will stream the film to US audiences. Here in the UK the film will be available on July 29 on Digital platforms from Signature Entertainment and will release on DVD on August 8th.

ORIGINAL STORY: The sun’s out and temperature are soaring, so what better way to cool off than a nice dip in the ocean. For the characters in Shudder’s upcoming The Reef: Stalked, that might end up being a regrettable decision.
The premium horror-streamer has dropped the synopsis and official trailer for Stalked which finds a Great White Shark on the hunt when a group of travellers head out on a watery expedition. The full synopsis for the film reads:
In an effort to heal after witnessing her sister’s horrific murder, Nic travels to a tropical resort with her friends for a kayaking and diving adventure. Only hours into their expedition, the women are stalked and then attacked by a great white shark. To survive they will need to band together and Nic will have to overcome her post-traumatic stress, face her fears and slay the monster.
