The Walking Dead just found itself another outlet thanks to a new deal between AMC and IMDb TV. The two companies have inked a deal to bring six channels to its “live” lineup on the free, ad-supported streaming service.
IMDb TV is currently a US-only service which brings users a wide range of content from across the entertainment industry. The service launched free linear channels earlier this year, with other channels including those for family films from FilmRise, TasteMade, “Divorce Court,” and Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares.” The “live” channels stream like traditional TV (i.e., the titles are not available on-demand), like Pluto TV.
Two AMC channels have already launched, including The Walking Dead Universe Experience which is screening episodes from across the franchise as well as Ride with Norman Reedus and Friday Night in with the Morgans.”
The second channel, AMC: Presents, provides a collection of original series including Turn: Washington’s Spies, Halt and Catch Fire, Rectify, Making of the Mob, and Into the Badlands, as well as movies, unscripted originals, and more.
The long delayed finale of The Walking Dead season 10 will air on AMC in the US on October 4, 2020. It was also recently revealed during the series Comic-Con@Home panel that after the finale airs, six additional episodes of Season 10 will be filmed and air in 2021.
