Here’s our quick survival guide to the weekend:

    Cosplay

What’s a comic con without cosplay? As with all cons LCCS encourages fans to dress up as their favourite pop culture heroes and villains. There are also a few rules they ask that you abide by when attending the event.

When it comes to weapons here’s a look at what the organisers allow and frown upon:

    Allow:

    • Non realistic weapons
    • Replica firearms with a red/orange tip
The tip must be clear and visible from a distance
    • Blunt metal weapons in a sheath
    • Unstrung or loosely strung bow
    • Coiled and secured whips
    • Plastic / wood / LARP weapons
    • Tools
    • Props longer than 6ft accompanied by an experienced spotter

    Not allowed:

    • Firearms
    • Realistic Replica Firearms
    • Props or weapons with sharp edges
    • Bokken
    • Functional bows or crossbows
    • Darts
    • Sligshots
    • Unsecured whips
    • Pyrotechnics/explosives (including glitter and smoke bombs)
    • Sharp Arrows

For a full breakdown of the cosplay guidelines head to the Showmasters website.

If you have any other questions regarding the event then checkout this handy FAQ put together by the Showmasters team.
