Everyone’s favourite Twitter user DanielRPK is back with another scoop. But this time it’s not one that some fans may want to hear.
Daniel is reporting that a number of X-projects which Fox has previously announced are now dead in the water. Also several strongly rumoured projects will also fall foul on the studios upcoming merger with Disney.
Top of the list is Gambit. The film has been almost a decade in production hell following the characters live action debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. After a revolving door of directors it looks like the project will be the first victim of the studio merger.
Movies based on Silver Surfer, Kitty Pryde and Multiple Man are also said to be dead in the water. That is not to say that Disney won’t decide to make movies based on this characters, it’s just that their current Fox iterations are not moving forwards.
Following Deadpool 2 there is supposedly still some life in the X-Force project but with the studio merger looming Fox has little time to get the movie in to production before the clock runs out.
