We’ve reached that time of year where all our favourite TV shows begin to wind down. The inevitable Summer hiatus is almost upon us. Although that means it’s nearly time for San Diego Comic Con we’ve got to get through a whole load of season finales first.
Arrow brings its sixth season to a close on May 17, 2018 with an episodes entitled “Life Sentence”. The CW has just unveiled the full synopsis for the episode:

THE EPIC SEASON FINALE OF ARROW — With a new ally on his team, Oliver (Stephen Amell) engages Diaz (guest star Kirk Acevedo) in an epic final battle. James Bamford directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Marc Guggenheim (#623). Original airdate 5/17/2018.
Who could the new ally on the team be? We know that Colton Haynes returns to the series as a regular soon. Could he show up in the finale? It was also previously announced that White Canary aka Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz) would be appearing in the finale.
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the South China Sea. Oliver returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice. To do this, he created the persona of The Arrow and allied himself with former military man John Diggle, computer-science expert Felicity Smoak, lawyer-turned-vigilante Laurel Lance, billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, and his sister Thea Queen.
After years of denying himself his own life as Oliver Queen in order to be The Arrow, Oliver left Starling City with Felicity and made a home in suburbia. But their newly tranquil lives are upended when an evil new organization, H.I.V.E., takes over the newly-christened Star City. Oliver is forced to don the hood once more but can he keep his aim as The Arrow without losing the life he has fought so hard to get back?
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance. It was recently announced that original series star Katie Cassidy will return as a series regular in season 6 as the Earth-2 Laurel Lance/Black Siren.
Arrow airs on The CW Thursdays at 9/8c. In the UK the show airs on Sky One on Thursdays at 9pm.
